Learning Objectives:

  • Identify the key elements of human centric lighting
  • Explain why human centric lighting is important to lighting design
  • Appraise lighting fixtures for their ability to meet quality elements of human centric lighting
  • Specify the control narrative/intent for the human centric lighting design

Human-centric lighting is the art of mimicking natural light in order to regulate natural circadian rhythms. By implementing the right light color levels at the right time of day, occupancy comfort, mood, and performance can drastically improve.

After the CEU Presentation:

Demonstration of performance lighting, lighting control, distributed audio and automated shades through various control methods. Namely, voice control with Josh AI, Keypad Control through Lutron and Control 4 as well as touch screen control and an automated event based on “time of day”.

For those staying through dusk, there will be a demonstration of landscape audio and lighting through various scenes. Come join us for a wonderful evening!
